PRP Stretchmarks

PRP for Stretch marks are typically caused by the stretching and tearing of the outer layer of the skin or the dermis. Pregnancy, weight fluctuations, muscle building and surgical implants are common causes of stretch marks. One of the revolutionary new non-surgical  treatments for stretch marks is platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy.

Fattan Polyclinic is a premier facility led by our Dermatology Experts. PRP Treatment provides the latest cutting edge aesthetic solutions, including the treatment PRP for stretch marks. Patients at Fattan Polyclinic  have an opportunity to receive our PRP therapy.

WHAT IS PRP FOR STRETCH MARKS?

Micro-needling treatment is performed with a mechanised device with a cartridge containing a series of tiny needles that penetrate the top layers of the skin. When combined with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) the two work together to speed up the reduction of visible stretch marks. The tiny needles create “micro channels” in the skin, through which various serums or your own Platelet Rich Plasma may be infused. These ‘micro injuries’ work to stimulate the skin to produce new collagen by creating new cartilaginous fibers to repair those that are disrupted by the micro needling process. After micro needling, your own Platelet Rich Plasma may be applied to the treated area. The PRP for stretch marks treatment extracts autologous growth factors essential to collagen re-modeling and skin rejuvenation. These growth factors penetrate into the micro-channels created during the micro-needling process and jumpstart the healing and repair process. Along with the use of micro-needling, the PRP gives your skin an added stimulus to boost collagen production along with the use of the nutrient-rich platelets — making for a powerful combination to eradicate the appearance of stretch marks. Micro-needling with PRP may also be used for facial rejuvenation, anti-aging, acne treatment, and sun damage repair.

PRP FOR STRETCH MARKS TREATMENT?

Once the targeted site of stretch marks has been prepared, which involves inducing fibroblast, the provider will inject PRP into the collagen under the skin. A spacing of one inch along a horizontal line will be used. The lines will be separated vertically about 1½ inches. The same conditions are used to treat the entire affected area. The PRP injections release the growth factors and cells into the areas where the collagen has been stimulated. The natural healing cascade process will increase the amount of fresh collagen production as the release of growth factors increases. This will enable the skin to become tauter and smoother. Once the required PRP has been injected into the targeted area, additional PRP will be used as a topical application. The PRP may be blended to create a gel, which is the base with the biological makeup as living tissue. This gel is applied topically over the entire affected area. The combination of PRP injected into the collagen as well as used as a topical covering will help heal the stretch marks from both ends. As the skin elasticity and volume improves, the stretch marks will be reduced and heal from the application of topical PRP.

As soon as you see the first signs of stretch marks wherever at your body, you should seek PRP Micro-needling treatment. You will see great results after 4-6 weeks of your first treatment. Normally it will take 2-3 treatments to get optimal results. If you have a severe case of stretch marks, or they are several years old, it may take up to 5-6 treatments to fully return the skin to a more natural look.
