Cryolipolysis is a new technique developed by researchers at The Harvard Medical School in the US which aims to locally cool fat cells in the body so that they can self-destruct and gradually decrease.

It has been proven that these cells are more sensitive to cold than the surrounding tissues and this technique allows a natural degradation of the adipocytes without the risk of damaging the adjacent tissues.

Aesthetic doctors make use of the latest generation Cristal machine for cryolipolysis. This latest generation device is considered one of the most effective on the market today for effective medical cyrolipolysis.

Indications for Cryolipolysis

  • Cryolipolysis can be used to treat the following areas: the abdomen, flanks or love handles, buttocks, saddlebags, folds of the back, and inner thighs.
  • Cryolipolysis is no substitute for liposuction. It is reserved for small areas that do not exceed 5 cm thick when pinching the skin or used to improve on the results of liposuction.

How Is Cryolipolysis Used?

In practice, a cryode (such as a large shell) is applied to the skin, and negative pressure is exerted to keep the treated area in contact with the cold. Then, the cryode is gradually cooled down to -6 / -8 ° without risk to the skin because gel and a wipe protect it. The session lasts for about 60 minutes per zone, and although treatment is not painful, a slight unpleasant nipping can be felt at the beginning of the session. However, the area quickly becomes numb.

At the end of the treatment, the cryode is removed, and there is redness and loss of sensitivity for about two hours, and sometimes a slight hematoma, which resolves in a few days.

Depending on the thickness of the treated area, 2 to 3 sessions at 2 to 3 months interval may be necessary.

It is, of course, necessary to have a balanced diet and regular physical activity to improve and maintain the result.

cellulite

Did you know that is possible to have cellulite even with a normal weight? It is important to distinguish between being overweight; a condition of excess body fat which is treated by diets, and having cellulite; a more superficial fat, which causes deformations of the silhouette and is treated medically or by surgery.

Types of Cellulite

  • Fatty cellulite: This is the development of excess fat due to an unbalanced diet and lack of physical activity. It is soft and not very painful, and mainly appears on the stomach, hips, thighs, and breeches. Hormonal factors may also cause it. To diagnose, simply pinch the skin.
  • Acoustic Cellulitis: This develops as a result of veno-lymphatic problems aggravated by a sedentary lifestyle. It is flexible to the touch and mainly appears on the arms, thighs, and calves. Unlike fatty cellulite, acoustic cellulitis is visible without having to pinch the skin.
  • Fibrous Cellulitis: This type looks purple and as such, is visible to the naked eye. It is hard and painful to the touch and is mainly seen in the thighs and knees. It is more difficult to eliminate because collagen fibers have developed around old fat cells.
  • Mixed Cellulite: This is simply the combination of several types of cellulite. Note that it is possible to have two types of cellulite at the same time.
  • Superficial Cellulitis (Lipodystrophy): Here, the hypertrophied fat cells are enclosed in fibrous septa inside the skin which gives it the appearance of an orange peel. The treatments are essentially medical including Cellfina or cryolipolysis.
  • Deep Cellulite (Steatoma): This is a mass formed by the accumulation of fatty substances. It causes deformations of the silhouette.

A lymphatic drainage massage is a manual and natural technique to improve the body’s lymphatic system.

Why is the Lymphatic system important?

A blocked lymph system can contribute to a host of problems, such as:

  • Buildup of lymphatic fluid
  • Swelling and bloating
  • Excessive water retention
  • Compromised immunity

How does a lymphatic drainage massage help?

The lymphatic drainage massage uses light pressure and rhythmic movements to stimulate the lymph flow.

This allows the body to start naturally disposing of lymph fluid, as it is now being redirected to unblocked lymph nodes. Since this excess fluid is channeled to the body’s natural filtration system, it can dispose of excessive waste and toxins that build up in the body.

Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage Massage

  • Weight loss

Lymphatic drainage massages are a top choice for women who cannot exercise regularly, as they are an alternative way to release toxins and dispose of waste in the body.

  • Cellulite reduction

Due to the use of pressure and the enhanced circulation provided, the lymphatic massage does a great job of reducing cellulite.

  • Reduced Water Retention

Since the primary role of the lymphatic system is to carry and dispose of fluid waste, excess water that is retained in the body is also disposed of through this technique.

  • Increased Metabolic Rate

A healthy lymph system contributes to a healthy metabolic rate.

As with any manual technique, one session is not a magic pill.

Lymphatic drainage massages have to be performed regularly for them to have an effect. It is generally recommended to go for 10-12 sessions to truly cleanse and boost your lymph system.

Loss of skin elasticity, which is characterized by sagging skin is one of the most visible signs of aging. It also represents one of the main demands of patients in aesthetic medicine. Unfortunately, not many individuals know that it is possible to treat the condition in most cases without surgery.

There are several factors which may cause the skin to lose its elasticity:

  • Weight Gain And Weight Loss

The fibers of the skin are often stretched during weight gain and then relaxed during the loss of weight, resulting in a slackening of the skin.

  • Pregnancy

The skin stretches during pregnancy and then suddenly relaxes after delivery, lead to the loosening of skin fibers and the appearance of stretch marks.

  • Old age

As one ages, the skin loses its tonicity due to a decrease in collagen production in some regions of the body, including:

  • The inside of the arms
  • The abdomen
  • The inside of the thighs
  • Buttocks

Factors aggravating sagging skin include:

– tobacco

– sun

– menopause

– stress

How to Treat Sagging Skin

The techniques by which sagging skin is treated can, either be combined or used independently.

  • Carboxytherapy is the subcutaneous injection of carbonic dioxide gas that has the power to increase blood flow and stimulate fibroblasts, producing collagen and elastic fibers.
  • The Tripolar or Multipolar Radiofrequency which aims to tighten the relaxed skin. Here, very high-frequency electrical currents pass through the skin and produce heat in the subcutaneous tissues, which in turn causes retraction and collagen production that improves firmness and skin tension.

Note that in the course of treatment, side effects such as bruises and hematomas may appear.

Pressotherapy is Europe’s #1 choice for non-invasive cellulite reduction and a non-invasive alternative to liposuction.

It is a computer-controlled compression system which is used to inflate a sleeve applied to a limb while an automatic pressure gradient modulation provides a gentle, effective lymphatic drainage.

These pumps are designed to increase lymph flow, and blood circulation from the ankles to the upper thighs. Air-Pressure Massage enhances extra-cellular fluid clearance, reduces bloating, swelling and cellulite. It also alleviates leg fatigue and improves oxygen flow throughout the whole body.

What Does Pressotherapy Feel Like?

A 20-minute treatment is equivalent to a 15-mile walk. It feels very comfortable; the sensation is similar to that of checking your blood pressure.

How Does It Work?

Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage Computerised Air Pressure Massage delivers a light rhythmic pumping movement via a specially designed body suit that effectively reduces water retention and creates instant centimeter loss as well as improving vascular and lymphatic circulation which ultimately results in detoxification and oxygenation of the tissues. With anti-cellulite body wrap, this treatment is particularly recommended for cellulite, heavy or tired legs, swollen ankles, and other similar conditions.                                                                After the treatment, some users may experience muscle pain and red spotting on the skin; however, this is a normal reaction.

Contraindications of Pressotherapy

Individuals with the following conditions are not allowed to use pressotherapy: severe diabetes, heart disease, hemorrhage, acalcerosis, pregnancy, fever, hypertension, acute/chronic bronchitis, emphysema, liver cirrhosis, nephritides, dermatosis, asthma, chronic appendicitis, chronic cholecystitis, ascites, edema, etc.

stretch

Stretch marks are red or white streaks which appear on the skin; often in connection with pregnancy, weight gain, adolescence, hormonal problems or treatment (cortoïdes).

They are mainly found on the belly and thighs but may also appear on the arms, breasts, hips, buttocks, knees, and calves.

In treating stretch marks, the goal is to reduce their width by stimulating the dermis and smoothening the surface to improve its appearance. Red stretch marks are the most reactive and as such, require early treatment.

Techniques Used In the Treatment of Stretch Marks

To Abrade:

  • Medium or strong peels (PRXT33)
  • Abrasion lasers
  • Mechanical abrasion(Dermapen)

To stimulate:

  • Tripolar radiofrequency
  • Mesotherapy
  • Carboxytherapy
  • LED lamps

Depending on the type of stretch mark and its location, a program will be established by the aesthetic doctor specialist. The sessions often combine several techniques (abrasion + Carboxytherapy + LED), and they are repeated at regular intervals for several months.

What to Expect After Treatment

  • An almost total disappearance for new red stretch marks.
  • An improvement of 40 to 60% for old white stretch marks.

The management of the Body Mass Index (BMI) has both medical and esthetic justifications.

Treatment options

The use of LED wave technology has been proven to be effective in removing the toxin in the skin, elimination of the excess water and initiating skin tightness. The technology also improves blood and lymphatic fluid circulation as well as the activation of body muscles as a result of the vibration triggers.

LED Oxygen Cleanse Program

This technology uses the red and yellow LEDs light waves to tighten the skin tissues as well as in facilitating the natural cleansing of the skin. It is scientifically proven that therapeutically, when the skin tightness, it tends to release toxins and eliminates excess fluids.

LED Oxygen Condition Program

The primary intention of this procedure is to advance the spread of calories metabolism. This is done by gradually increasing the health as well as initiating muscular vibration that enhances circulation while relieving some level of tissue stress.

The Contour Program

While the heat raises the metabolic rates, focus in on the areas of concern such as cellulite. The use of body wraps among other product facilitates the inch size reduction in the contour and general tone of the body facilitating weight loss.

LED Oxygen Core Strength Program

The 81º C procedure has several benefits in fat reduction and body size management including an increase in the metabolic rates, optimization in the burning of calories, continued detoxification of body impurities, elimination of the excess fluid and toxins and finally improved blood and lymphatic circulation.

The Detoxification Program

The LED detoxification program is majorly done using the yellow LED and is focused on the elimination of accumulated toxins in the skin. This step generally helps the skin lose water, fluid excess, and most of the impurities. Generally, this is considered one of the most healthy measures that one can consider in initiating a weight loss program.

Cellulite is a condition that is characterized by the dimpled flesh with a lumpy appearance of the thighs, hips, buttocks and stomach/belly regions. In managing the undesirable condition, the VIORA V10 technology is often used successfully.

What is the V-form treatment?

Generally, VIORA V10 is regarded as one of the most impactful multi-frequency, bi-polar technology that has been successfully applied in contouring and tightening. It is a non-invasive procedure that majorly explores the radiofrequency (RF) energy in delivering a safe treatment for body contouring.

V-form Mode of action

The treatment targets the large fat deposits beneath the skin and reduces their accumulation by reducing the cell volumes while increasing the rates of metabolism. Similarly, the VIORA V10 technology ensures to increase the local blood circulation as well as boost the lymphatic drainage. Generally, the treatment procedure is painless and functionally resembles deep tissue stimulation accompanied by a gentle suction sensation on the skin.

Areas of focus

The VIORA V10 technology can be broadly used in addressing the body parts that one feels need to be slimed including the stomach, the buttocks, thigh etc.

How long does the procedure take?

V-form is one of the fastest approaches to the management of high-fat concentration on body parts and the slim levels may take a number of sessions with each taking an approximate 15-20 minutes. Generally, and depending on the body part, the fact accumulation levels and the interest of the client, an average number of session recommend are around five.

Are the treatment and management safe?

The VIORA V10 technology is proven to be safe with minimal side effects.

When can I resume my normal daily routine after the treatment?

Considering that the procedure is non-invasive and requires no anaesthetic procedures, one can resume their daily routines immediately after the treatment sessions unless there are concerns like fatigue or lightheadedness.
